In
2006 Sharon and Brian Roeder moved to the Blue Ridge foothills on the rural
side of Northern Virginia. There, working closely with their trusted yet
loopy Golden Retriever, Barley, they have hatched a diabolical plot to wean
working Washingtonians from their “crack-berries” by providing
them with idyllic and pastoral tranquility. To spread their evil far and
wide they have created a veritable den of wine pleasures designed to trap
everyone under the spell of their extraordinary patio views and whimsically-built
winery. The wine ain’t that bad either.
The winery and vineyard are conveniently –some would say “too conveniently”— located on I-66 one hour west of downtown Washington, DC.
Beginning May 23rd visitors will be greeted by smiling and relaxed staff, special tastings and subterranean tours, the occasional gourmet nosh, unescorted explorations of the vineyards (beware the killer-attack ground hogs!), tons of fun, and dog fur.
Bwahahahaha!!!!!
